Life Could Be So Beautiful - The Diary of Ruth Maier
Life Could Be So Beautiful – Ruth Maier's Diary
During preparations for the Czech edition of Ruth Maier's Diary and the exhibitions Lives cut short & The Maier Family Arks, museum educators Táňa Klementová and Markéta Brhlíková created an educational workshop entitled Life Could Be So Beautiful. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the workshop was repeated sixty times online and later thirty times in person, accompanying the traveling exhibitions after schools and museums reopened.
We now offer the workshop in the form of sharing methodology with teachers or as a ready-made educational program, where someone from our team visits a school/museum and leads the program as a lecturer.
The workshop is based on excerpts from Ruth Maier's diary and combines elements of blackout poetry with the participants' own stories. It works in conjunction with traveling exhibitions and the book diary, but also completely independently.
The program lasts 90 minutes. It can be reduced to a shorter 45-minute version.
If you are interested in sharing the methodology or ordering an educational program for your school, please contact us at tana.klementova@maierfamily.eu.
